Senior 2-Star Lined Up for K2

Jan 18, 2012

Sussex County Table Tennis Association is running a 2 Star Senior tournament on the 26th February 2012 at K2 Leisure Centre, Crawley. The tournament is sponsored by Heritage Oil, Ray Hole Architects, Griffin Security & Technology and Tees Sports.

The prize money is as follows:

Womens

1st Prize = £600 cash

2nd prize = £300 cash

3rd prize = £100 cash

We already have six top women/girl competitors and have space for a total of 12 competitors in a format where all players play 8 matches each.

Mens

1st Prize = £300 cash

2nd Prize = £125 cash

3rd prize = £60 cash

4th prize = £60 cash

Organiser Steve Pound is expecting several top 50 players to enter so the competition is likely to be an exciting one. The event can accommodate 16, 24, 32, 48 and 64 player formats dependent on entry and will provide at least 8-10 matches for every player dependent upon the number of entries.

The principle for all formats is that you play 1-3 matches to determine which band of players you will play in the second phase. In the second phase you will be in a group of either 6 or 8 players where you play round robin against all other players in the group.

Play will be on 9-18 Butterfly tables in 5 x 10 metres courts in 4 star standard conditions and K2 has excellent restaurant and swimming pool facilities should you need to use them.
